The Robert Morris women’s basketball program just added its sixth transfer of the recruiting cycle as head coach Chandler McCabe looks to take her team back to Indianapolis for a shot at the Horizon League Championship.

So far in this recruiting class, McCabe received commitments from four transfer portal players with Pittsburgh ties in Aislin Malcolm (Pitt/Chartiers Valley), Bailey Kuhns (Mercyhurst/Greensburg Central Catholic), Mallory Daly (Buffalo/Seton LaSalle) and Ava Leroux (Elon/South Fayette).

Additionally, McCabe and her staff added a U20 French Champion, Siena transfer guard Myriam Traore.

With the roster sitting at 13 scholarship players before the newest addition, the remaining scholarships were not going to be just handed out. They were going to go to productive, starting-caliber players which is what the most recent one did.

McCabe and her staff managed to land a two-way forward that started 29 games this past season as Cal State Fullerton transfer Eva Levingston signed with the Colonials on Saturday.

Levingston, a native of Oakland, California, started her collegiate career at in her home state as she signed with the Titans out of high school where she managed to carve a role out for herself as a freshman before she really left a stamp on the team as a sophomore.

Levingston appeared in 29 games as a freshman and averaged 16.2 minutes per game despite receiving no starts throughout the year. In that first season, she averaged 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game which landed her on the All-Big West Freshman Team.

Due to her stellar freshman campaign, Levingston became a full-time starting forward for the Titans this past season where she started 29 of her 31 appearances. She played more and was a more effective player on both ends of the floor as she averaged 8.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

While Levingston played as a point-center at times in the past, she stands at just 6-foot tall. With her height, compared to 6-foot-4 Elon transfer Ava Leroux, Levingston is likely to step in as a stretch-forward for the Colonials which plays into their favor heavily.

With five in-coming freshman, six transfers and just three returnees, the Robert Morris’ roster is practically brand new so predicting a potential rotation or starting line-up is still out of the question but with the talent that McCabe added and her ability to coach, whatever the rotations ends up being, the level of basketball at the UPMC Events Center next season should be high-level.
