Robert Morris Lands Siena Transfer Myriam Traore

Robert Morris head coach Chandler McCabe is still working hard as she and the rest of the staff are trying to piece together the final additions to next year’s roster.
Following the historic first season under McCabe, the Colonials witnessed a massive exodus of players from the roster as eight players decided to depart the program for the transfer portal. That came after McCabe saw another eight of her players run out of eligibility.
After all of that, only three players from last year’s team were slotted to return to Hoop Township next season. Despite the departures, McCabe and her staff have done an amazing job in regard to reloading the roster for another potential trip to Indianapolis.
Just in this recruiting cycle alone, McCabe received commitments from four transfer portal players with Pittsburgh ties as Aislin Malcolm (Pitt/Chartiers Valley), Bailey Kuhns (Mercyhurst/Greensburg Central Catholic), Mallory Daly (Buffalo/Seton LaSalle) and Ava Leroux (Elon/South Fayette) all have chosen the Colonials as their next team.
Now, McCabe landed a fifth transfer portal player and the first that does not have any local ties as the program signed Siena transfer guard Myriam Traore.

Even though Robert Morris returns two of its starting guards from this past season and added two more in the portal, Traore brings much-needed height and an all-conference level of scoring to the position group.
Traore is coming off her freshman season at Siena where she earned MAAC All-Rookie Team honors after she averaged 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. She shot 53.4% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range this past season.
Traore is from Lognes, France and enjoyed a stellar career overseas before she arrived in the United States. As a player on the French National teams, she won the U16 European Championship and the U20 French Championship on top of winning the European Youth Olympic Festival Championship in 2024.
While the rotation for next season will work itself out throughout the summer as the team ramps up for the season, Traore will likely serve a big role for the Colonials next season. With her height and scoring ability, it would not be a shock to see her compete for a starting role in her sophomore season.
