Robert Morris Provides Elon Transfer Ava Leroux Opportunity to Have Support System Nearby After Life-Changing Experience

After guiding Robert Morris to the Horizon League semifinals in just her first year as a head coach, Chandler McCabe lost most of her roster either due to graduation or the transfer portal. In total, eight players graduated and another eight entered the portal.
The exodus left just three players on the roster which meant McCabe and her staff needed to reload the roster if they wanted to capitalize on the momentum that the program built in year one.
McCabe identified that a roster turnover could be a possibility before last season even ended and started the rebuilding process early as she lured Pitt transfer Aislin Malcolm (Chartiers Valley) in as a midseason transfer. Then, following the season, McCabe received commitments from Mercyhurst transfer Bailey Kuhns (Greensburg CC), Buffalo transfer Mallory Daly (Seton LeSalle) and Elon transfer Ava Leroux (South Fayette).
The three returnees feature two of last year’s starting guards and a third guard/wing player so the need for forward help was an evident. While Kuhns brings solid size with a mix of scoring at the forward position, Leroux looks to be the rim protecting, glass-cleaner for the Colonials as she stands at 6-foot-4.
Robert Morris Sports Now managed to talk to Leroux about her return to the city and her new basketball home.
