Robert Morris WBB Signs Productive Sun Belt Transfer

Robert Morris head coach Chandler McCabe proved her program’s dedication of building through local ties over the past two offseasons as she brought in a plethora of local talent through both the transfer portal and through high school recruiting, but now there are some family ties being laid into the foundation of the program as well.

The Colonials’ third official incoming portal addition of this offseason is Marshall transfer wing Timberlynn Yeast, who is the older sister of incoming freshman and priority recruit Teigh Yeast.

Timberlynn transfers to Robert Morris with two seasons of eligibility remaining after redshirting her freshman season at Marshall.

Yeast appeared in 33 games and recorded six starts as a redshirt freshman before her minutes nearly doubled this past season as she played in 37 games and started 14 of them.

Yeast finished this past season as the Herd’s top rebounder and came on strong offensively towards the end of the season as she posted a career-high 18 points in the team’s regular season finale and tallied five of her seven double-digit scoring games in conference play.

She averaged 6.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game over her final season at Marshall.

Based off of her shooting splits from her two active seasons at Marshall, Yeast will be another inside scoring threat for McCabe’s Colonials while also being a solid free throw shooter. She can also make threes if needed but her percentage from behind-the-arc dip from 35% as a redshirt freshman down to 25% this past season.

McCabe and company have brought in a handful of transfers to support a strong and intruiging returning core this offseason. The roster currently sits at 12 scholarship players which means that there is likely just one or two more spots open for potential incoming transfers.
