Robert Morris Rounds Out Roster With Addition of Two-Way Prep Guard
The last two offseason have been nothing short of hectic for Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole and his staff, but it has yielded the Colonials’ program with back-to-back 20-win teams and an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
This current offseason has been no different for Toole as he needed to re-tool his roster again after just four players from last year’s team opted to return.
Toole used the success that his team’s underwent over the last two seasons as a recruiting ploy for this year’s transfer and high school classes as he managed to bring in a wide variety of talent that ranges from veteran Division-I players with NCAA Tournament experience to high-upside high school and prep talent.
The Robert Morris staff completed the 2026-27 roster earlier this week with the addition of 6-foot-3 Mt. Zion Prep (MD) guard Michael Parlow.
Parlow is originally from the New Orleans, Louisiana area but attended the prestigious Maryland-based prep school Mt. Zion the last couple of seasons. Playing alongside 7-foot Virginia commit Favour Ibe (#143 National), Parlow showcased his ability to be a high-end scoring threat and quickly became one of the more overlooked recruits in the entire state.
Parlow helped lead Mt. Zion Prep to the 2024-25 Elite Prep League (EPL) Championship and became a 2026 EPL Third Team All-Conference selection. He was also named the EPL Breakout Player of Session II this past December as he averaged 23.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 63% from the floor and 56% from three.
Parlow joins a loaded backcourt, especially considering the amount of high school and prep guards that Robert Morris signed this offseason, and will likely spend time behind presumed starters and key rotational players such as Ace Valentine, Darius Livingston Jr. and Ta’Zir Smith.
Along with Parlow, the Colonials signed a lefty prep guard in Lukas Sloane and a premier high school scoring guard in Will Occomy. After the official signing of Parlow, the Robert Morris scholarship count sits at 13 which marks the end of offseason additions for Toole and Robert Morris.
