Robert Morris WBB Contacts Woodland Hills Grad, CIAA Player of Year in Transfer Portal

Robert Morris head coach Chandler McCabe has been busy reloading her roster after taking the Colonials to the Horizon League semifinals in just her first year as a head coach.
Following the season, seven of her players entered the transfer portal and another eight ran out of eligibility which left her with just three scholarship players from her first season. Granted, two of them were starters for the Colonials this past season, it left McCabe needing to fill a lot of holes on the roster.
McCabe and her staff identified the possibility of needing to reload after the first season and got to work early as they picked up a mid-season transfer in former Chartiers Valley star and Pitt transfer Aislin Malcolm.
Following the season, McCabe got a commitment from another local product in former Greensburg Central Catholic standout and Mercyhurst transfer Bailey Kuhns. Then, earlier this week, McCabe got former South Fayette star and Elon transfer Ava Leroux to commit to the Colonials.
That puts the Colonials scholarship count at 11 players but with four scholarship spots still open, McCabe is still navigating the transfer portal.
The latest player that the Colonials contacted fits the trend of trying to bring the local talent back to Moon Township. McCabe and her staff reached out to a former graduate of Woodland Hills who went onto win the CIAA Player of the Year award this past season.
