Robert Morris Women’s Basketball Announces Full Non-Conference Schedule

The Robert Morris women’s basketball program officially announced its completed non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season on Monday.

The Colonials, under third-year head coach Chandler McCabe, will face a handful of familiar foes, along with a pair of first-time opponents this season.

As previously reported by Robert Morris Sports Now, Robert Morris is set to open its season at home against Illinois-Chicago on Thursday, Nov. 5. It is a return game for the home-and-home series that the two programs started in Chicago last season.

The first of three newly announced opponents is Delaware State, who the Colonials will host on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the UPMC Events Center. It will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs with Robert Morris holding a 3-0 record against the Hornets.

Robert Morris follows that matchup with a third-straight home game just three days later against Eastern Michigan in what is another return game from a home-and-home series that started last season.

McCabe’s squad will then hit the road for their first two road contests of the season. The road opener is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16, at crosstown rival Duquesne. They will then travel to Akron that Friday for the final return game of the three home-and-home series started last season.

Following the trip to Ohio, Robert Morris will head to the Sunshine state for the Daytona Beach Classic, Nov. 25-26. The Colonials two opponents for the multi-team event are Stetson and Clemson with the meeting against the Tigers being the first in program history.

Robert Morris will then close out the month of November on the road at Ball State. The Colonials faced off against the Cardinals just once in program history, an 85-81 loss coming way back in November of 2008.

The Colonials return home to start December and will host Shippensburg, a Division-II program, on Friday, Dec. 11.

Following the tune-up game, Robert Morris will head to Morgantown to face off against West Virginia on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The Mountaineers will be the second high-major opponent (Clemson) that the Colonials will face in 2026.

The Colonials close out their non-conference schedule with a home game against in-state, and former Northeast Conference rival, Mercyhurst on Sunday, Dec. 20.

Also noted, Robert Morris will play an exhibition game against St. Bonaventure on Oct. 28.

In total, the Colonials’ non-conference schedule consists of five home games, four road games and two neutral site matchups.

The 2026-27 season will also mark the first time that the Colonials will play multiple high-major opponents in the same season since the 2022-23 season.
