Team USA, Robert Morris’ Ryan Prather Jr. Win Again on Day 3 of Nations League
The Team USA 3×3 Nations League team, which features Robert Morris G/F Ryan Prather Jr., continued their hot start in Punta Arenas, Chile, as they have yet to drop a single game through their first three days of tournament play.
Prather has been steady for Team USA since he debuted on Monday. In Tuesday’s games, Prather scored a combined 25 points through three games to help win the team’s second consecutive Stop Final.
Prather followed his magical Tuesday up with another strong showing on Wednesday as Team USA claimed their third Stop Final victory of the week.

Team USA faced the Cayman Islands in the first game of the day. The team’s shooting was not as sharp as the first two days but they still managed to pull out an 18-13 victory with a gritty performance. Prather was the team’s second-leading scorer with 6 points in the pool play victory.
The win over the Cayman Islands clinched Team USA a spot in their third-straight Stop Final.
In the Stop 3 Final, Team USA squared off against Team Canada, which marked the third meeting between the two squads and second Stop Final matchup between the two counties this week.
Just like in the Stop 1 Final, it was a highly-contested game that came down to the final seconds. With the game tied at 18 with six seconds left, Prather’s teammate, Colorado forward Trevor Baskin, drove to the basket and sunk the game-winning layup with his left hand.
Prather and Baskin paced the team with 7 points a piece in the final victory over Canada.
The FIBA 3×3 Nations League is a qualification route to the 2025 FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup with conference winners qualifying for the event which is set for September, 17-21 in Xiong An, China.
