Robert Morris Sees Fan-Favorite Guard Enter Transfer Portal
Robert Morris guard Ryan Prather Jr. is entering the transfer portal after spending two seasons with the Colonials, a source told Robert Morris Sports Now.
Prather spent the 2024-25 season as the team’s sixth man and played a key role in taking the program to its first NCAA Tournament since 2015. He transitioned into a full-time starter and leader this past season under Andy Toole.
Prather led the team in scoring this season as he averaged 15.7 PTS and made 84 three-pointers at a 37% rate.
He was also the team’s most all-around player as he added 3.9 REB and 3.6 AST per game with a 4.4 assist to turnover ratio thus earning him All-Horizon Second Team honors.

Prather joins fellow starters DeSean Goode and Nikolaos Chitikoudis as the program’s first three transfer portal departures of the offseason.
The other two main starters for Toole’s squad this offseason were Albert Vargas and Kaleb Brown, both of which are out of eligibility and will also not return next season.
With the news of Prather’s departure from the program, it is quickly turning into another hectic offseason for Robert Morris as the staff will have to replace its entire starting lineup for the third-straight season.
Despite the heavy losses, Toole still has the chance to retain more of a core than he did last year, but with decisions from key players such as Darius Livingston Jr. and Ta’Zir Smith still looming, the full picture of who or what will need replaced this offseason is still unclear.
