In recent weeks, many of the more prestigious Division-I basketball programs released their non-conference schedules.

For a smaller school such as Robert Morris, those things do not happen as quickly as there are many moving parts going on behind the scenes.

With that, there is not very much out there as of yet in regard to the Colonials’ non-conference schedule, but one of the team’s featured non-conference games was recently revealed by Bracketeer analyst Rocco Miller.

Robert Morris will host Toledo at the UPMC Events Center on Saturday, December 13, 2025, as the two programs reportedly agreed on a home-and-home series. The Colonials will travel to Toledo during the 2026-27 season.

The Colonials have met the Rockets on the hardwood four times prior with Toledo holding a 3-1 all-time record against Robert Morris. Robert Morris won the series’ opening matchup back in 2012 but went on to lose the next three contests (2013, 2014, 2020) including the lone game to be played in Moon Township.

Toledo went 18-15 last season with a 10-8 record inside of MAC play. In fact, the Rockets played four Horizon League programs last season and went 3-1 in such games.

The only other known non-conference opponent on the Colonials’ schedule is the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Colonials will head to Iowa City to tipoff their season but it comes with a twist as they will play against last season’s Horizon League Player of the Year and former Colonial, Alvaro Folgueiras.

Last season, Folgueiras earned the Player of the Year award after averaging 13.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and shooting 41% from 3-point range. Those numbers were a huge jump from his freshman season at Robert Morris when he averaged 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and shot 28% from 3-point range.

Robert Morris played a total of 11 non-conference games a season ago which means there are still nine more games, outside of the Horizon League schedule, that will be released at some point during the offseason.
