Get to Know New Robert Morris Guard Ta’Zir Smith

In the span of just over one month, Robert Morris went from taking Alabama to the brink of elimination in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament to needing to fill 11 scholarship spots on its roster.
The Colonials lost all five of its starters and four depth pieces to the transfer portal while another two of its players ran out of eligibility.
This left head coach Andy Toole and his staff scrambling to pick up the pieces.
After the dust finally settled, Toole started his deep-dive of the transfer portal as he searched for players that would not only fill roster spots, but players that could potentially lead the Colonials back to the Big Dance for the second season in a row.
One player that is sure to step up for Robert Morris next season is new commit and UL Monroe transfer guard Ta’Zir Smith.
Robert Morris Sports Now managed to talk to Smith on Thursday about his new basketball home.
