All-Horizon League Freshman Guard Intends to Return to Robert Morris
Robert Morris is set to return at least one of its key players from this past season as guard Darius Livingston Jr. is set to return to the Colonials next season, he told Robert Morris Sports Now.
Livingston averaged 9.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 40% from the field and 39% from three during his freshman season. He earned a spot on the Horizon League Freshman Team following the season.
He appeared in 27 games for the Colonials in 2025-26 and logged starts in each of the final seven games of the season including both Horizon League Tournament games after he stepped in for an injured Albert Vargas.
Livingston was instrumental to the team during their eight-game winning streak near the end of the season and scored a career-high 24 points with six three-pointers against the eventual Horizon League champs in late February.

Livingston’s announcement to return to Moon Township for his sophomore season is the first positive news for Robert Morris this offseason after three of its starters, DeSean Goode, Ryan Prather Jr. and Nikolaos Chitikoudis, all announced their intentions of entering the transfer portal in the last handful of weeks.
Livingston will likely to take over as the Colonials’ full-time point guard next season with Vargas being out of eligibility and will be a key piece for Toole and the Colonials as they seek a third-consecutive 20-win season.
Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole needed to replace his entire roster outside of one player last offseason, but with an early decision from Livingston, and the possibility of other players returning such as Ta’Zir Smith, Josh Hill, Samuel Obenjo and Eddie Cooke III, there should be slightly less turnover throughout the program this offseason.
Regardless, in the ever-changing landscape of college basketball, who suits up for Robert Morris alongside of Livingston next season is still a mystery. The only player locked in for next season other than Livingston is incoming freshman Josh Jackson.
