Robert Morris Softball Walks Off Northern Kentucky Twice in Doubleheader

The winning for the Robert Morris softball team continues as the Colonials picked up their most stressful, and probably most important, wins of the season to date after they defeated Northern Kentucky in walk-off fashion twice on Friday.
The Colonials entered the weekend series in a tie for first place in the league with the Norse and Cleveland State.
The two victories over the Norse broke the tie atop of the Horizon League but with today’s series finale being cancelled due to weather, the Colonials now sit in second place as the Vikings completed a three-game sweep of Detroit Mercy over the weekend.
The back-to-back wins improved their overall record to 17-10 and Robert Morris has won 13 of their last 14 games.
Leading the way yesterday were freshman Mary Brant, who had both of the walk-off hits, and pitcher Kaitlyn Molitoris, who picked up her fourth and fifth wins of the season.
Here’s a recap of the Colonials latest wins along with some postgame comments from Robert Morris head coach Jexx Varner.
