Robert Morris HC Andy Toole Sentimental as ‘Greatest Team’ in Program History Sees Season Come to End in NCAA Tournament

CLEVELAND — Nobody gave the 15-seed Robert Morris Colonials any chance against the offensive juggernaut that is Alabama basketball. That was until about the seven-minute mark of the second half of Friday’s opening-round NCAA Tournament game when the Colonials took their first lead of the contest in a layup that made the score 65-64 in favor of Robert Morris.
While the Crimson Tide managed to re-capture the lead shortly after and eventually closed out the 90-81 win over the Horizon League champions, there is no denying that this season was one of the best in the history of the Colonials’ basketball program.
Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole called this year’s Colonials team the greatest men’s basketball team in the history of the university following the hard-fought battle in Cleveland.
