Robert Morris Finalizes 2025-26 Men’s Basketball Schedule
Believe it or not, the start of the Robert Morris basketball season is almost here.
Today, the RMU athletic department announced the complete 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule, including their non-conference schedule, which includes an MTE Event.
The Colonials will play 11-nonconference games, highlighted by road trips to Iowa, St. Bonaventure and Drake.
Andy Toole’s squad will start the season on November 4th at Iowa. It’s the first matchup between these two programs in 20 years. The last time the Colonials played a Big Ten team was in 2023 when they took on Wisconsin.
It doesn’t get much easier as they’ll follow that game with a game at Drake, a team that won 31 games last season and are the defending Missouri Valley Conference champion. This is the first ever game between these two teams.
The first two games at the UPMC Events Center in Moon Township will be against Geneva (November 10th), followed by Pitt Greensburg (November 13th).
Robert Morris will then go back on the road with a tough contest against St. Bonaventure on November 20th. The Bonnies is coming off of a season in which they won 22 games and qualified for the NIT. This will be their first matchup since 2008 and the first time RMU has played an A-10 team since 2022 when they faced Dayton.
After a visit to Olean, New York, RMU will remain on the road to take on former NEC rival Monmouth (November 23rd).
Robert Morris will return home for 3 games: UIC on November 26th before hosting a multi-team event (MTE), the Urban-Bennett Invitational, welcoming Southern Utah (November 28th) and Stetson (November 30th).
RMU’s final two non-conference games will take place with Toledo traveling to Moon Township on December 13th and a road to Saint Francis on December 20th. This will be the 94th time these two teams have played.
“Every year we try as hard as we can to create a schedule that will prepare and test us for all we will face in Horizon League play,” said Toole. “Creating this year’s schedule was a little bit harder than it’s been in the last couple of years, but I feel like we’ve accomplished that goal once again. We have great road tests and challenging home games that will hopefully excite our fan base to come out and get an early glimpse of the ’25-’26 Robert Morris Colonials.”
Robert Morris will start Horizon League play on December 4th when they travel to Green Bay. The conference home opener will be on December 17th against Youngstown State.
The conference schedule will consist of 20-games, with 10 home games and 10 on the road.
