One by one, members of the Robert Morris 2025 men’s basketball team who entered the transfer portal are selecting their new basketball homes.

At least on the surface some of them make sense as players are moving on to bigger programs and bigger opportunities.

That’s certainly the case with Horizon League Player of the Year Alvaro Folgueiras signing with Wisconsin and Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year Amarion Dickerson moving out west to USC.

Starting guard Kam Woods, who transferred to RMU from NC State, is currently involved with a number of solid basketball programs.

Along with the money involved, all those situations make sense.

Some however make little sense, like the news today that a key contributor from last season has signed on with a new team.
