The Colonials have a new-look to the staff this year, retaining just two coaches from last year’s staff: Andy Toole and Matthew Sweet. Toole is heading into year 15 leading the Colonials as head coach, and Sweet is heading into year six with the program. Sweet began his tenure at RMU in the Video Coordinator role, and is now serving as the Director of Basketball Operations.
Toole brought in three new assistant coaches this offseason: George Aramide, Anthony Richards, and Kim Lewis.
Lewis has spent time all around the country, serving as an assistant at Mercer most recently. Prior to his time there, he was a long-time assistant at Richmond. Aramide came to RMU from Fresno State, and prior to that, was an assistant at Arizona State. Richards joined the Colonials after spending the last several years in the northeast with Sacred Heart and Holy Cross.
