MOON TWP, Pa. — A year and one day ago, Robert Morris officially hired Chandler McCabe to be the seventh head coach in the program’s history. This move came after back-to-back down years in which the Colonials went a combined 17-43 including going 2-18 in the Horizon League in 2023.

Fast forward one year and McCabe brought the Colonials from the basement of the Horizon League to the upper quartile.

In her first year as the head coach, the Colonials finished in fourth place of the league and earned a first-round bye in the Horizon League Tournament. After taking down Northern Kentucky at the UPMC Events Center in the quarterfinal stage, McCabe and the Colonials took their first ever trip to Indianapolis for the Horizon League Championships.

This afternoon, Robert Morris Sports Now was able to talk to Coach McCabe about her first year at Robert Morris and what to expect from the program moving forward.
