Robert Morris Adds Mountain West Matchup to Non-Conference Schedule

Robert Morris’ 2026-27 schedule is slowly piecing itself together and the latest game that was revealed is likely the Colonials’ season opener as it was reported that Nevada will host the Colonials at the Lawlor Events Center on Nov. 2, 2026.

Nevada will pay Robert Morris a reported $80,000 for the early season buy game, according to Alex Rosinski. It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs on the basketball court.

In fact, the only connection that the two programs have is that former Robert Morris star forward AJ Bramah transferred to Nevada prior to the 2021-22 season. Although, Bramah was dismissed from the team shortly after the start of the season.

While it is not confirmed to be the Colonials’ season opener, the reported date of the game aligns with the start of the season as Robert Morris opened up its season last year on Nov. 4.

Nevada, under head coach Steve Alford, has been an annual threat in the Moutain West Conference and will be a tough test for Robert Morris and head coach Andy Toole early in the season. Despite the fact that the Wolf Pack missed the NCAA Tournament last season, they won 24 games and have went a combined 137-88 since Alford took over the program in 2019.

Nevada joins the University of Illinois-Chicago as the only two confirmed non-conference games with solidified dates on Robert Morris’ schedule this upcoming season to this point of the offseason. The Colonials are also slated to play return games against both Toledo and Monmouth this upcoming season, though the dates for those two games are still up in the air.
