Former Robert Morris Guard D.J. Smith Decides on New School

After previously decommitting from a So-Con program, former Robert Morris guard D.J. Smith has made a decision as to where he will play college basketball next season.

Smith helped guide the Colonials to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015 and a near upset of highly-touted Alabama this past season but decided to test the transfer portal waters like most of his former teammates did.

While guys like Amarion Dickerson (USC) and Alvaro Folgueiras (Iowa) were destined for bigger and better opportunities after their award-winning seasons, some departures, like Smith’s, came as a surprise to many inside and outside of the program.
