Another Robert Morris Men’s Basketball Player Hits the Transfer Portal

MOON TWP, Pa. — Robert Morris has faced the ramifications of being a good mid-major team this offseason as another player has entered the transfer portal. After losing their entire starting-five along with multiple depth pieces to the transfer portal over the last two weeks, another talented player has departed the Colonials roster for the portal.
Freshman guard Dilen Miller entered the portal on Monday, marking the eighth player to enter the portal since the Colonials’ season came to an end in the opening-round of the NCAA Tournament.
Miller’s decision to hop in the portal comes as a shock for most as the only other returning guard is Ryan Prather Jr., who played in more of a wing-type of role on the floor last season.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Miller appeared in 25 games for the Colonials this past season and averaged 2.5 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. While he appeared in a majority of the Colonials games, he was often on the floor during garbage time.
Miller reached the 10-point mark twice this past season. He scored 10 points on a 2-of-3 shooting day against Chatham early in the season and then scored another 10 points on a 4-of-7 shooting clip against IU Indy late in the year.
In his limited role this past season, Miller struggled to shot the ball as he maintained a 24.3% field goal percentage and a 21.2% three-point percentage.
Miller, a native of Chandler, Arizona, chose Robert Morris out of high school after he earned a McDonald’s All-American nomination in 2024. During his senior season at The Christ Academy in Texas, Miller averaged 27.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 5.8 steals.
Coming out of high school, Miller’s final-five included Robert Morris, Mississippi State, Georgia State, Villanova and Jackson State.
Miller is now the eighth player off of Robert Morris’ championship roster to enter the transfer portal and still may not be the last. The only returning scholarship players that Andy Toole has left for the 2025-26 season include Ryan Prather Jr. and Maurio Hanson Jr. plus two incoming freshman.
