ACC Transfer Linebacker Visits Robert Morris

Despite the fact that the first game is less than 100 days away, the Robert Morris football roster may not be set just yet as the staff hosted a transfer portal linebacker on Friday.

The Colonials experienced a successful first season back in the Northeast Conference last year and a big reason for that immediate success was the strong defensive contributions, especially from their linebackers.

Last season, the two All-Conference linebackers in the middle of the Colonials’ defense, Jamar Shegog and Keon Freeman, finished with the top-two tackle totals in the entire conference and became the first pair of Colonial teammates to each record 100+ tackles in the same season.

Now with the two of them officially off of the roster, head coach Bernard Clark Jr. is vying for at least one solidified replacement at the position and is inching closer to landing that player.
