Robert Morris Football Announces Start Time for Season-Opener

The 2025 Robert Morris football season is now just three months away and the start time for the team’s season-opening game against FBS opponent, West Virginia, was revealed one Thursday.
The Colonials will travel down to Morgantown on Aug. 30 to face the Mountaineers. When Robert Morris kicks off against West Virginia, it will be the first meeting between the two schools and the first game against a member of the Big-12 in program history.
The first-ever showdown between the Colonials and the Mountaineers will kick off at 2 p.m. from Milan Puskar Stadium and be televised on ESPN+.

Only two games, including the one against West Virginia, have solidified their start times to this point of the offseason. The other game is the Colonials’ home-opener in Week 3 against West Liberty which is slated to kick off at 6 p.m. from Joe Walton Stadium.
The 2025 season will mark the second season back in the Northeast Conference (NEC) for the Robert Morris football program after initially leaving the conference in 2019.
After going 4-2 in conference play and 7-5 overall, Robert Morris finished in third place of the NEC last season. After an impressive first year back in the league, the Colonials and head coach Bernard Clark Jr. will try to build upon their success from a season ago but it will not be an easy task.
The Colonials roster and coaching staff underwent massive overturn this offseason.
Key players such as quarterback Anthony Chiccitt (Temple), wide receiver Noah Robinson (Tennessee Tech), linebacker Jamar Shegog (Graduation) and defensive back Rob Carter Jr. (BC Lions) have all departed the roster while the staff lost both offensive coordinator Josh Firm (Montana State) and defensive coordinator Dave Plungas (James Madison) to new jobs.
While Clark and his team have around three months to work through the kinks and come together as a team, the opening game in Morgantown is quickly approaching.
