Robert Morris Football Offers ACC Transfer Linebacker

The Robert Morris football team experienced a successful first year back in the Northeast Conference last season as they finished with a 7-5 overall record and stayed in championship contention until the waning moments of the season.
While the offense excelled at times, it was the Colonials’ defense that helped the program exceed expectations in 2024.
The Colonials’ defense finished the season among one of the best in all of college football as it ranked inside of the top-35 in sacks (9th), defensive touchdowns (9th), tackles for loss (14th), scoring defense (17th), third-down conversions (30th) and total defense (32nd).
A big part of that success was the result of having two All-Conference linebackers in the middle of their defense in Jamar Shegog and Keon Freeman. Shegog and Freeman finished with the top-two tackle totals in the entire conference and became the first pair of Colonial teammates to each record 100+ tackles in the same season.
With Shegog out of eligibility and Freeman testing his chances of going pro, head coach Bernard Clark has been on the hunt for a potential replacement at the position and may have just found his guy over the weekend.
