The busy off-season for Robert Morris women’s basketball head coach Chandler McCabe in terms of restocking the roster added another chapter today.
2026 point guard Layla Hale from West Clermont High School in Cincinnati, Ohio announced on Twitter her commitment to the Colonials program. Hale originally received her offer from Robert Morris back in June of 2024.

This past season, Hale was named Player of the Year in her conference and a 1st team All-Conference player for the third year in a row after scoring a conference high 19.5 points per game. She was also voted District 16 First Team.
Back in January, Hale achieved a couple of big personal accomplishments as she surpassed 1,000 career points and broke the school record for career rebounds.
Just a few games ago, we got to celebrate @laylahale_3 for breaking not one, but TWO school records. Layla now holds the record for career field goals made AND career points… and she still has 1.5 seasons left 😳
