RMU Head Coach Andy Toole Previews Year Five in the Horizon League

Robert Morris is heading into its fifth season in the Horizon League after enjoying success in the Northeast Conference under Andy Toole in years prior.
Toole, entering his 15th season as the leader of the Colonials, is looking to get the program back on track after last year’s team won four fewer games in conference play than the previous season. Now, Toole, alongside a locker room full of new faces, is ready to start the season after keeping up with Villanova in a recent exhibition game.
Toole joined The Pittsburgh Basketball Show to talk all things RMU basketball, going through the exhibition, what he learned about his team from that game, as well as specific players like Josh Omojafo, D.J. Smith, and Kam Woods. He also broke down the importance of his returning core that includes Alvaro Folgueiras, Chris Ford, and Justice Williams.

Robert Morris is in year 15 of Andy Toole’s tenure, and the Colonials added a few intriguing pieces to a solid returning corps in hopes of a turnaround. Last season’s team finished 10-22 overall (6-14 Horizon). Toole and his new-look staff brought in transfers Woods and Smith, among others, to team up with returners Williams and Ford.
Kam Woods is going to be a great addition to the #RMU back court.
Woods averaged 17 PPG and hit 83 threes in ’22-’23 for NC A&T 👇@KamGlizzzy3 | @RMUMBasketball pic.twitter.com/2x9f7GxVZt
