Recruiting is a never-ending process for college coaches.

While Robert Morris head coach Bernard Clark Jr. and his staff consistently bring in a full class of incoming freshman, he now has a member on staff that excels at recruiting, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

That person is defensive line coach Derrick Nsubuga, also known as Coach Zoo by many of the players. Coach Zoo joined the Colonials staff this offseason after spending the last two years a graduate assistant at Utah State.

Coach Zoo may be just a “rookie” when it comes to his coaching career, but his recruiting skills are already paying dividends for the Colonials as they recently landed their first commitment in the Class of 2026, which came from a player on the defensive side of the ball.
