According to one popular metric, Andy Toole’s Robert Morris basketball squad is playing like a top-100 basketball team.

On Bart Torvik’s metric system, Robert Morris is ranked as the No. 97 team in the country since Jan. 17.

Robert Morris (20-8, 12-5 Horizon) is 9-1 since that date, and is currently on a four-game winning streak. The Colonials have beaten Detroit Mercy, Northern Kentucky, Cleveland State, and Purdue Fort Wayne in the last two weeks, and have an upcoming game against Green Bay on Friday in Moon Township.

Following the matchup against Green Bay, RMU has remaining games against Milwaukee and IU Indy to finish off the season. Currently, RMU is tied for second place in the league along with Youngstown State. The two teams sit behind Cleveland State, who has lost two-straight games. RMU is the only team in the conference with at least 20 wins so far this season.

Alvaro Folgueiras has been a star for the Colonials this year, averaging 14 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest for Toole’s squad. He is also shooting 41% from three-point range this season. Kam Woods, Amarion Dickerson, and Josh Omojafo are all averaging double-digit scoring numbers, too, for the team. Woods leads the Horizon League in steals per game with two, while Dickerson ranks second in the Horizon League in total blocked shots with 71.
