On Monday, Robert Morris basketball announced that head coach Andy Toole has hired another assistant coach to his staff for the 2024-25 season.

George Aramide joined the staff as an assistant coach after coaching for one year at Fresno State in an assistant role. Aramide previously coached at Arizona State at the collegiate level as an assistant under Bobby Hurley. Prior to his college coaching experience, Aramide coached prep and AAU basketball for George Harris Preparatory High School and Run N’ Dunk AAU. According to RMU’s announcement, his Run N’ Dunk team won the Canadian National Invitational Tournament in 2018.

“We are excited to add George to our coaching staff,” Toole said in a release. “He has been a successful coach at the prep level as well as the college level. He has strong international experience as well which will only help our student-athletes maximize their experience as members of our basketball program. We are happy to add George and his family to the RMU family!”

Aramide is a native of London, England, and attended Thompson Rivers University. He played basketball there before moving to Spain to play professional ball.

Aramide joins the Colonials’ staff that includes the team’s head coach Toole, assistant coach Kim Lewis, and director of basketball operations Matthew Sweet.

The Colonials return veterans Justice Williams and Chris Ford, among others. Toole brought in transfers Ismael Plet, Kam Woods, Josh Omojafo, and more this offseason, and has a three-man freshmen class coming in. That class includes Antalah Sandlin-El, Maurio Hanson, and Dilen Miller.
