Intriguing Freshman Wing Announces Return to Robert Morris
We now officially know the fates of each member of Robert Morris’ 2025-26 roster as the last undecided player made his decision to return to the Colonials on Friday. In total, six players opted to enter the transfer portal, two have used up their eligibility and four have decided to return for another season.
Freshman guard/forward Eddie Cooke III told Robert Morris Sports Now that he is returning to the Colonials for the 2026-27 season.

Cooke appeared in eight games during the early portion of his freshman season but fell out of the rotation until late February when he re-entered as a key contributor on defense and on the boards. In total, Cooke played in 14 games as a true freshman and averaged 2.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He shot 48% from the field and was 16-of-17 from the free throw line.
Cooke’s most complete game of his freshman season came late in the season in a win over Cleveland State as he flirted with a triple-double. He made all three of his field goals and both of his free throws as he finished with 8 points, eight rebounds and six assists in just 18 minutes of play.
He will likely compete for big-time minutes as a sophomore and with his experience as a freshman coupled with a full offseason to work on his game, Cooke should be a key contributor on next year’s team regardless of his role.
Cooke joins Darius Livingston Jr., Ta’Zir Smith and Samuel Obenjo as the four players that will be returning to Robert Morris for the 2026-27 season. Aside from those four, Andy Toole already received a commitment from one incoming freshman as well which puts the roster at five players as the portal season ramps up.
